The Implementation stage is relevant for both Small Commerce and Small Digital sectors. They both need to work together intensively as the Implementation stage is the most important one in terms of creating the end product. During the Implementation phase, there needs to be an alliance between both companies in a way that there is a very clear understanding of what needs to be done to have the end product working and looking the part. The issues below are derived from the surveys with small retail and small digital companies about their collaboration and are selected specifically for the implementation stage:

  • No experience in such collaboration yet
  • Communication
  • Project management

From these issues we can detect several skills and knowledge that can be developed in order to tackle those issues. In Implementation we are going to discuss the skills for Small Commerce and Small Digital together as well as separately:

  • How to kick start the implementation phase for both
  • Small Commerce
    • Monitor the progress
    • How to deal with unforeseen results
  • Small Digital
    • Using the feedback
    • What to do when expectations change
    • How to handle new opportunities
  • How to raise management issues for both

With these skills and knowledge in mind you will have the following learning outcomes after studying the implementation stage:

  • You know how to kick off a project or new collaboration.
  • You will understand how to monitor work done by others.
  • You know how to give and receive feedback.
  • Understanding how to handle changes.
  • How to understand new opportunities
  • know how to deal with issues in the collaboration.
